The internships aim to provide workplace experience to graduates and qualified individuals while contributing to their upskilling as per the Skills Development Act. The programme is a 24-month fixed term contract and includes opportunities in various business areas such as Communication, Hansard, Members Affairs, Members Relations, Research, and Sport and Recreation. Applicants must be South African citizens aged 18-35 years, without criminal convictions or pending cases. The GPL encourages applications from individuals with disabilities, as well as from Coloured, White, and Indian candidates to meet employment equity targets. Interested individuals can apply for a maximum of three positions and are required to submit a separate email for each application, along with a comprehensive CV and supporting documents.
The monthly stipend for the internship is R7,000.00, and the closing date for applications is 3 February 2024. Applicants are advised that correspondence will be limited to shortlisted candidates, and appointments are subject to suitability checks.
