Requirements for the Cleaner Position

To be considered for this cleaner role, you’ll need to meet the following basic requirements:

  • Minimum Education: Must have completed at least the 10th grade or higher.
  • Training and Instruction: Suitable training will be provided for those without prior experience.
  • Experience: No previous cleaning experience is necessary.
  • Familiarity with Cleaning Tools: Basic knowledge of cleaning supplies and tools is an advantage.
  • Physical Capability: Ability to use cleaning tools and follow proper cleaning techniques.
  • Interpersonal and Organizational Skills: Strong communication and organization skills are a must.
  • Numeracy and Literacy: Basic ability to read, write, and perform simple counting tasks.
  • Team Player: Willingness to work in a team and contribute to a positive work environment.
  • Physical Strength: Must be able to work with senior citizens and meet the physical demands of the job.

Key Responsibilities

As a cleaner, your role will focus on maintaining cleanliness and order across various work environments. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

  1. General Cleaning Tasks:
    • Emptying trash bins regularly to ensure a sanitary environment.
    • Sweeping floors and mopping where necessary to maintain clean walkways.
    • Cleaning offices and workshops as needed to uphold workspace standards.
  2. Monitoring Cleaning Supplies:
    • Keep track of cleaning materials and report when stock needs to be replenished.
  3. Safe Use of Cleaning Supplies:
    • Ensure cleaning products are used according to safety guidelines to prevent hazards.
  4. Adhering to Health and Safety Protocols:
    • Follow all occupational health and safety regulations to ensure a safe workplace for yourself and others.
