Minimum Requirements

To be eligible for this position, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Education: A Senior Certificate (NQF Level 4).
  • Skills: Strong computer literacy is essential.
  • Experience: 0–1 year of relevant work experience.

Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Familiarity with the SASSA Act and Social Assistance Act.
  • Understanding of SOCPEN systems, legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Awareness of social assistant delegations, standards, and organizational procedures.

Key Responsibilities

As a Call Centre Agent, you will play a vital role in enhancing customer satisfaction by:

  1. Handling Calls: Efficiently managing incoming and outgoing calls.
  2. Call Registration & Escalation: Recording customer interactions on the Customer Care Application System and escalating issues as needed.
  3. Data Updates: Keeping customer information up to date within the integrated system.
  4. Issue Resolution: Addressing inquiries via email and ensuring timely responses.
  5. Customer Education: Guiding clients, providing accurate information, and connecting them with the relevant authorities.
  6. Monitoring Requests: Tracking and resolving issues forwarded to supervisors or back-office teams.
