Position Overview
This position focuses on maintaining operational excellence in patient data capture, logistics coordination, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Management:
- Accurately capture patient information and medical aid details from doctors’ report forms.
- Maintain and monitor the computerized database to ensure dependable results and SOP compliance.
- Administrative Duties:
- Order and manage stationery to ensure smooth service delivery.
- Handle switchboard operations to maintain effective communication.
- Manage reception tasks, providing clients with relevant information and exceptional service.
- Sample Logistics:
- Dispatch specimens for processing, ensuring adherence to turnaround times.
- Track sample deliveries and resolve bottlenecks in laboratory processes.
- Customer Interaction:
- Address administrative queries and complaints professionally and ensure timely resolution.
- Uphold customer care principles when engaging with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Quality Control:
- Perform basic housekeeping and equipment preparation per organizational procedures.
- Ensure compliance with waste removal policies and laboratory maintenance standards.
- Training:
- Participate in staff training programs to foster continuous development.

Requirements
- Educational Qualification:
- Grade 12 or equivalent NQF Level 4 qualification.
- Experience:
- 0-1 year of relevant working experience.
- Skills:
- Proficient in computer operations and laboratory information systems.
- Strong organizational, administrative, and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail, resilience, and the ability to work under pressure.
