Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP) 2025: National Youth Service Recruitment in Gauteng

The Gauteng Department of Infrastructure Development (GDID) is inviting unemployed youth to apply for the 2025–2027 National Youth Service (NYS) Programme under the Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP). This initiative offers 2500 young people valuable work experience across various sectors.

Programme Overview
The NYS Programme aims to empower historically disadvantaged youth by providing them with practical skills, training, and a monthly stipend. Participants will be placed in different fields, including technical trades, administration, and general work.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be between 18 and 33 years old (must be under 35 throughout the 24-month contract).
- Have passed at least Grade 10.
- Possess a valid South African Identity Document (ID).
- Reside in Gauteng (City of Johannesburg, Tshwane, Ekurhuleni, Sedibeng, or West Rand Districts).
- Be available for the entire programme duration and willing to sign a contract.
- Have no criminal record.

Stipend and Contract Duration
Successful candidates will receive a monthly stipend of R3500 for 24 months. Contracts will not be extended beyond this period.

Candidates must submit the following documents:
- Completed Z83 Application Form (available online or at government offices).
- Comprehensive CV detailing qualifications and work experience.
- Certified copies of qualifications (not older than 6 months).
- Certified copy of ID (not older than 6 months).
- Proof of residence in Gauteng.
