🌟 Key Responsibilities of a Service Ambassador

1️⃣ Front of House Excellence

  • Oversee member entry and exit processes to maintain seamless access control.
  • Offer friendly and professional assistance at reception, ensuring all inquiries are handled efficiently.
  • Provide clear communication to members and prospective clients about club services.
  • Uphold operational standards and adhere to administrative protocols.

2️⃣ Member Engagement & Retention

  • Deliver exceptional customer service to meet Net Promoter Score (NPS) and sentiment targets.
  • Encourage digital interactions by introducing members to our online platforms.
  • Offer tailored digital exercise experiences to align with members’ fitness goals.
  • Address and resolve member complaints promptly, fostering positive relationships.
  • Promote Virgin Active fitness events to drive engagement and retention.

3️⃣ Ensuring a Premium Member Floor Experience

  • Actively promote safe exercise practices within the club.
  • Monitor adherence to club rules, operational guidelines, and safety protocols.
  • Maintain floor cleanliness and ensure that all fitness spaces are presentable.

4️⃣ Training & Self-Development

  • Participate in ongoing training to stay updated on best practices and club standards.
  • Leverage digital platforms to enhance knowledge of Virgin Active’s fitness offerings.
  • Maintain a customer-first mindset and align with the company’s core values.

📌 Minimum Requirements – What You Need to Apply

To excel in this role, you must possess:

  • Grade 12 Senior Certificate (or NQF Level 4 equivalent).
  • Completion of the Reception Academy training.
  • Strong knowledge of digital platforms and their role in member engagement.
  • A solid understanding of Virgin Active’s exercise programs.
  • Awareness of customer journey principles and strategies for exceptional service delivery.
  • Knowledge of club rules, operations, and safety protocols.
  • At least 12 months of experience in a customer-facing role.
  • The ability to handle member queries and resolve issues effectively.
