Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must possess the following:
- Educational Requirements:
- Grade 12 (National Senior Certificate)
- National Certificate Level 4 in GET Education, Training, and Development
- Additional Requirements:
- Medically fit to work in the designated business area
- A clear security screening record
- A valid driver’s license (if applicable)
Key Responsibilities
1. Laboratory Operations:
- Prepare samples following standard operating procedures
- Operate laboratory equipment safely and accurately
- Conduct fluxing of samples, including copper mapping and tray identification
- Perform particle size determination for plant and milled samples
2. Cupellation Process:
- Prepare and manage cupels for the cupellation process
- Oversee the loading and unloading of cupels from the muffle
- Maintain muffle functionality and ensure proper floor levelling
3. Parting Process:
- Prepare and handle acids for sample parting
- Test deionized water and process prills (washing, drying, annealing)
4. SHE Compliance:
- Adhere to ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 SHE standards
- Participate in risk assessments and incident investigations
- Foster a culture of safety, health, and environmental protection
5. Quality Management System:
- Ensure compliance with ISO 17025 requirements
- Prioritize operational excellence while maintaining safe production standards
