Key Responsibilities
Secure Transport and Guarding of Valuables
- Safely transport cash and valuables between designated locations.
- Maintain strict security procedures to prevent loss or theft.
- Follow all standard operating procedures and security guidelines.
Vehicle Operation and Maintenance
- Conduct pre-trip inspections, ensuring all vehicle standards are met.
- Maintain the operational integrity of the vehicle.
- Report any mechanical issues or security threats immediately.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company driving regulations.
Compliance and Reporting
- Ensure compliance with firearm handling regulations.
- Complete and submit required documentation for each trip.
- Report all security incidents to the control center without delay.
- Adhere to company policies, ensuring the safety of crew members and assets.
Candidate Requirements
Mandatory Qualifications
- Education: Grade 12 certificate (Matric)
- Licenses and Certifications:
- Valid PSIRA Certification (Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority)
- Valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP)
- Cash-In-Transit (CIT) Certificate
- Valid SAPS Firearm Competency Certificate (for business purposes)
- Experience: Prior experience in cash transportation or security driving preferred.
Skills and Attributes
- Strong ability to work under pressure in high-risk environments.
- High situational awareness and risk assessment capabilities.
- Team-oriented with excellent communication skills.
- Commitment to following all security, safety, and procedural policies.
Medical and Security Requirements
- Candidates must submit a valid medical certificate confirming fitness to handle firearms.
- The medical certificate must not be older than three months prior to employment commencement.
- Applicants will undergo security vetting and screening before final selection.
Health and Safety Compliance
- Attend all mandatory safety training and refresher courses.
- Strict adherence to safety policies and procedures.
- Wear appropriate protective gear at all times.
- Report all safety concerns and incidents promptly.
