Position: Sales Assistant

Key Responsibilities
As a Sales Assistant at Tuks FM, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue and fostering client relationships. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Sales Generation:
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of Tuks FM’s services and identify how they meet client needs.
- Achieve monthly and annual sales targets by generating leads and building strong client relationships.
- Identify new markets and customer leads, pitching prospective clients effectively.
- Account and Agency Management:
- Compile compelling sales presentations tailored to client requirements.
- Maintain regular communication with agencies and assist in organizing roadshows to promote Tuks FM’s offerings.
- Governance, Administration, and Reporting:
- Ensure meticulous record maintenance and prepare monthly reports detailing sales activities and achievements.
- Complete all administrative tasks promptly to support sales operations.
- Client Relationship Management:
- Build and nurture existing client relationships, gaining a deep understanding of their business needs.
- Ensure clients are well-informed about Tuks FM‘s service offerings to encourage repeat business.
- Event Planning and Execution:
- Plan and execute sales-related events and activities that benefit both clients and the station.
- Collaborate with clients to develop customized advertising solutions that align with their marketing objectives.
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Educational Qualification:
- Matric certificate.
- Experience:
- At least two years of sales experience, preferably in radio sales.
- Licenses:
- Valid driver’s license with access to own transport.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, knowledge, and attributes:
- Industry Knowledge:
- A solid understanding of radio and its utilization in client campaigns.
- Familiarity with various sellable features across radio, on-the-ground, and digital platforms.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in administrative tasks and computer literacy, including MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Email, and Web applications).
- Communication and Presentation Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Strong presentation skills to effectively convey ideas to clients and stakeholders.
- Networking and Organizational Skills:
- Ability to build and maintain professional networks.
- Strong organizational and coordination skills to manage multiple accounts and projects simultaneously.
- Personal Attributes:
- Self-starter with strategic thinking capabilities.
- Effective conflict management skills.
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends when necessary.
- Flexibility to travel to client locations as required.
Added Advantages and Preferences
While not mandatory, the following qualifications and experiences will be advantageous:
- Educational Background:
- Relevant sales or marketing–related diploma or course.
- Professional Experience:
- Existing client base in the industry.
- Understanding of and experience in the radio landscape.
- Experience in creating and managing radio campaigns.
