About Evander Gold Mines
Evander Gold Mines is part of South Africa’s long-standing mining sector and is known for offering structured, high-quality training to young professionals. The mining environment requires technical skill, discipline, teamwork, and a strong safety mindset — making this learnership a powerful stepping stone into an engineering career.
This learnership is ideal for young South Africans who want a recognised qualification and practical workplace experience without having to pay for tertiary education. You gain real engineering exposure while earning a stipend and learning from experienced professionals.
Why This Learnership Matters for Your Future
Learnerships like this one are important because:
1. You earn while learning
Many young people cannot afford college or university. A learnership gives you accredited training plus income.
2. You gain real workplace experience
Employers prefer people who have worked in real-world environments. You’ll get hands-on experience with machines, tools, safety procedures, and engineering problem-solving.
3. You become more employable
Once you complete the programme and pass your trade test, you will hold a recognised qualification that allows you to work almost anywhere in South Africa and beyond.
4. You build confidence and technical skills
A learnership improves your communication skills, discipline, teamwork ability, and technical expertise — traits that matter in every engineering job.
