Requirements:
– National Diploma/Degree in Food Service Management/Food and Beverage Management (3 years HET Level)
– Computer literacy – Good verbal and written communication, calculations, and computer skills
– Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
– Strong leadership and managerial skills – Proficient in report writing
– Innovative, Integrity, Enthusiasm, Passion, Professionalism, and High sense of duty
– Able to work under pressure
– Reliable – Catering skills
– Knowledge of Food Service Policies, Procedures, Acts, and Protocols – Familiarity with National Core Standards, Food Service Audits, PFMA, and Supply Chain Management Regulations
Duties:
– Manage Food Service Staff and Operations
– Ensure compliance with relevant Policies, Regulations, Acts, and Procedures
– Assist in menu planning, master orders, menu costing, and budget inputs
– Oversee stock ordering, receiving, storing, and issuing
– Ensure adherence to production procedures for meal preparation and serving
– Maintain hygiene, occupational health, and safety measures
– Optimize human resource functions and labor utilization
– Manage equipment effectively
– Provide staff training
– Assist in training Food Service and Dietetic Students
