Job Overview: General Assistant (Urban Beautification)

Minimum Qualifications and Skills

To qualify for the position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Education Requirement: Grade 9 certificate
  • Skills: Ability to comprehend and execute job roles and responsibilities effectively

Key Responsibilities

The General Assistant will play a vital role in maintaining the beauty and functionality of urban spaces. Below are the primary duties associated with this position:

1. Maintenance of Equipment and Storage

Ensure tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained, ready for use in daily operations.

2. Handling of Branches, Garden Waste, and Rubble

Assist in loading and transporting garden debris, rubble, and other materials to designated locations.

3. Application of Pesticides and Herbicides

Follow precise instructions for the safe and effective use of chemical treatments to control pests and unwanted vegetation.

4. Flowerbed Care and Weeding

Maintain flowerbeds by cleaning, weeding, and ensuring the health of plants.

5. Tree Planting and Bush Trimming

Participate in planting new trees and shrubs while trimming overgrown vegetation to improve aesthetics and safety.

6. Grave Preparation and Excavation

Operate tools such as jackhammers to dig and prepare graves for various interments, including new burials and exhumations.

7. Additional Tasks

Complete other responsibilities as assigned by the department manager to support the team’s overall objectives.
