Job Description:

Cash Build is seeking dedicated and reliable individuals to join our team as General Assistants. This role is essential in ensuring that our customers receive excellent service while shopping in our stores. As a General Assistant, you will be responsible for a range of duties that contribute to the smooth operation of the store. These duties include stocking shelves, maintaining store cleanliness, assisting customers, and ensuring that products are correctly labeled and priced.

Your primary responsibility will be to make sure that customers have a positive shopping experience by providing helpful and courteous service. You will work closely with other store staff to ensure that the store is well-organized, clean, and that products are easy to find. This role requires a high level of attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Customer Service:
    • Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers as they enter the store, assisting them with finding products, and answering any questions they may have.
    • Assist customers with loading their purchases into their vehicles if needed.
    • Resolve customer complaints in a professional and timely manner.
  2. Stock Management:
    • Ensure that shelves are fully stocked with products at all times.
    • Replenish stock as needed and ensure that products are displayed neatly and according to the store’s planograms.
    • Monitor stock levels and inform the supervisor when stock is running low.
  3. Merchandising and Labeling:
    • Ensure that all products are correctly labeled with the appropriate price tags.
    • Regularly check the shelves to make sure that prices are accurate and up-to-date.
    • Assist in setting up promotional displays and ensure that products are arranged attractively.
  4. Housekeeping:
    • Maintain a clean and tidy store environment by sweeping floors, cleaning shelves, and disposing of any trash.
    • Ensure that all aisles are free of obstacles and that products are arranged in a way that is easy for customers to navigate.
    • Regularly clean and sanitize high-touch areas such as counters, door handles, and shopping carts.
  5. Teamwork:
    • Work collaboratively with other store staff to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently.
    • Assist other team members with their duties as needed, particularly during busy periods.
    • Attend team meetings and contribute ideas for improving store operations.
  6. Safety and Compliance:
    • Adhere to all safety regulations and store policies to ensure a safe shopping environment for customers and staff.
    • Report any safety hazards or maintenance issues to the store manager immediately.
    • Ensure that all products are stored in a safe manner, particularly those that are hazardous or heavy.
  7. Other Duties:
    • Assist with receiving and unpacking deliveries as needed.
    • Perform inventory counts and assist with stocktaking.
    • Undertake any other duties as assigned by the store manager.
