Key Responsibilities : Linen Room Attendant Job South African National Parks
As a Linen Room Attendant, your duties will include but are not limited to:
1. Linen and Supply Management
- Ensuring a sufficient stock of tableware, cutlery, linen, and other necessary kitchen supplies.
- Managing the allocation of linen and supplies to Hut Attendants.
- Keeping a detailed record of all linen room stock and updating it regularly.
- Ensuring accurate counting and proper documentation of dirty and clean linen.
- Sending soiled linen to the laundry and verifying accurate returns.
2. Linen Room Operations
- Maintaining the linen room in an orderly and hygienic state at all times.
- Guaranteeing the presence of a staff member in the linen room during operational hours.
- Assisting Hut Attendants with the retrieval and exchange of linen and other materials.
- Performing stock takes according to established procedures.
3. Communication and Reporting
- Promptly reporting linen shortages, damaged stock, or operational issues to the supervisor.
- Ensuring proper documentation and tracking of all linen movement within the facility.
- Coordinating with the laundry department to maintain a steady flow of clean linen.
4. Ad Hoc Duties
- Performing additional housekeeping–related duties as assigned.
- Assisting other staff members when necessary to maintain the efficiency of housekeeping operations.
