Key Responsibilities of the SASSA Grant Administrator
As a SASSA Grant Administrator, you will be responsible for several critical tasks to ensure smooth operation within the local office. Some of your key duties include:
- Social Grant Management Support: Assist with the management of social grants at the local office level, ensuring that the process remains efficient, transparent, and timely.
- Client Support Services: Provide assistance and guidance to clients regarding their social grant applications and queries, ensuring they receive the help they need.
- Grant Application Review: Thoroughly review each funding application for social grants, ensuring accuracy and compliance with SASSA policies.
- Quality Assurance on Proposals: Perform quality assurance checks on grant proposals to maintain high standards in the application process.
- Beneficiary and Payment Processing: Help manage beneficiary maintenance, medical processing, and ensure accurate payment distribution.
- Compliance with Legislation: Ensure adherence to the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), specifically Chapter 6 and Part 3, ensuring all actions are legally compliant.

Minimum Qualifications and Skills Required

- Educational Qualifications: A Senior Certificate (Level 4 NQF) or equivalent qualification.
- Computer Literacy: Proficiency in using computers and relevant software for administrative tasks is essential.
