Key Responsibilities

The Senior Administrator Material Supply will be entrusted with the following duties:

Administrative Management

  • Documentation Handling: Efficiently plan, organize, monitor, and control office administration activities, including filing, archiving, copying, and data capture.
  • Correspondence Management: Receive, distribute, and dispatch documentation such as time sheets and leave forms.
  • Report Preparation: Draft comprehensive reports, memos, letters, and other necessary documents.
  • Meeting Coordination: Compile and distribute meeting minutes, plan and prepare meeting communications, and coordinate meetings, minor events, and travel arrangements.
  • Inventory Control: Monitor and manage office supplies, including stationery and uniforms, ensuring timely ordering and distribution.
  • Data Management: Accurately capture system data and maintain an updated office filing system.

Stakeholder Relations

  • Relationship Building: Foster and maintain relationships with stakeholders across the organization and externally at all levels and cross-functionally.
  • Communication Facilitation: Ensure open communication channels with all relevant stakeholders to address department-related queries effectively.

Qualifications and Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates should meet the following criteria:

  • Educational Background: Possess an NQF 4 (National Senior Certificate/Grade 12 or equivalent). An NQF 5 (Higher Certificate) in Finance or equivalent is advantageous.
  • Experience: At least 3 years of experience as an administrator within a mining environment or related sector.
  • Technical Proficiency: Demonstrate strong computer skills in Microsoft Office and have data-capturing knowledge and experience. Familiarity with Symplexity and Maxxees is essential.
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Medically fit to work in the specific business area and possess a clear security screening record.
  • Licensing: A valid driver’s license, if applicable.
