Zuma’s disqualification stems from a 15-month jail sentence for defying a summons to appear before the State Capture Commission. The Independent Electoral Commission, as reported by the Daily News, has cited Section 47(1)(e) of the Constitution as the basis for his disqualification, which pertains to individuals imprisoned for more than 12 months without the option of a fine. Additionally, the party has unveiled its complete list of interim provincial co-ordinators and conveners, highlighting its presence across all nine provinces, including its stronghold in KwaZulu-Natal.
